About Me

Hello, I am Julia LeVesque, otherwise known as Dot! Whether you have entrusted me with the care of your animals previously, or are currently searching for pet sitting services, I would like to share a bit about myself and my experiences which led me to professional pet sitting, something I thoroughly enjoy and am always dedicated to.

Growing up, my family always had dogs as companions, as many families do. While I loved my childhood dogs, I was curious about all other types of animals, too. My family has many stories of me catching lizards outside and begging to bring them home, and this love always extended to dogs, cats, reptiles, and eventually, horses.

I became thoroughly interested in horses around age 10, my interest originally sparking from a video game based around horses. I was lucky enough to have my parents put me into horseback riding lessons, where I learned the fundamentals of equine care. My love of horses was also fueled when my family moved into a new house, next to our neighbor who had both horses and donkeys. My family and I spent time interacting with the horses from behind a fence, and before we knew it, our neighbor offered for me to come over whenever I wanted to spend time with the horses. I was out there almost every day, bonding and building connections with the animals.

I continued my horseback riding lessons, and my well-known love for animals caught the attention of other nearby neighbors, who offered me the chance to watch their animals while they were on vacation. These first opportunities made me realize I could do what I love as my own job, with the flexibility I desired. With massive help from my parents connecting me to their co-workers who needed pet-care, as well as consistent advertising through flyers at local pet supply stores, I grew my network of clients to over 50 families in around 5 years.

Every day, I remind myself how lucky I am to be spending time with the coolest animals all around the Inland Empire as my job. My passion for pet care has yet to subside, and I always look forward to meeting new families and gaining experience and clientele.
